This is an album dedicated to the late producer Dilla, whose birthday just passed.

Corinne Bailey Rae – “I’d Do It All Again”

Good song. I’m glad she’s back. For those who don’t know, her husband died in March of 2008. Good first song to come back with considering what’s she’s been through.

Vikter Duplaix – “Electric Love”

9.4.2009

I’ve been waiting for this to come out for a while, since his 2006 release, “Bold and Beautiful” which is still on heavy repeat.  I’ve even been trying to get early notice on his “Kiss & Grind” parties out in LA. But I never have enough notice to book my ticket and get out there. He was also in Atlanta, for New Years, but for the first time in life, I spent NYE in NYC.

So for all those who’ve been patiently waiting, or haven’t heard this yet. Download the new song by Vikter Duplaix, “Electric Love” below!

Jay-Z Blueprint 3 Commercial

9.1.09

Ahh, Jay-Z…viral marketing blueprint. I thought this was creative, and it seems like they have the web in mind. This is the type of thing that gets people like me, who I wouldn’t normally post ‘Hov to post. (note: Jay-Z is my one of my top 5 MC’s, its just that he gets so much coverage everywhere else, I normally don’t feel the need to post)

But as some of you that know me personally, I’m an online marketer. So I sometimes shift and look at things through the lens of an online marketer.

It’s been 8 years since Aaliyah…

5.26.2009

It’s been 8 years ago yesterday, that Aaliyah passed…

The other day, I was listening to Lauryn Hill’s “Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,” and I was thinking of other artists, that I’d like to hear from. Aaliyah came to mind, so I was playing a few of my favorite songs from her. Incidently, when I plug my iPod into my car, it always plays the first song on it, which is Aaliyah (alphabetical order)
